Attention, Use Deluge/Waste.

Now Zeph, if ur ISP, which is forefront, is monitoring in such a way, in which they are proposing, I dont give a hoot what bit torreent client anyone uses. They already have the same encryption tools, that both "peer safe", and "peer guardian" use. This, was only a matter of time. They basically know what everyone is doing, but just look the other way, so long as they dont get a letter from someone that they have to answer to, or, an attorney. If you need to post in this forum, just to chat, go to yahoo. You're a very intelligent young man, but sometimes, Zeph, I have to question your level of maturity. Sometimes, you just cant resist, just bashing, or posting something that no-one really cares about. This, is a freakin forum, not a country club.

It only matters if they can charge you for it. My ISP could "think" that I steal software, Most encrypted transmissions ARE probably illegal in nature, but they can't do anything unless its veritable, And Yes, Waste will protect you 100%, Deluge will just prevent anyone from gathering statistics.

Yes, It was a little bit immature, But its sound advice.

Ya, I guess us Linux users could always say, that we download all the distros all day long, and then share to all of our friends!? There is NO protection. We all know what we are doing, right? And, so do THEY! You, can count on that. Encryption, blocking, proxies, ect. I can assure you, that when my ISP, sees that my connection is maxed 24/7, they know what time it is! And, "ignorance, is no exception to the law"

Zephyr-The-ZephJun 18, 2007 3:38pm
Precisely, and my ISP could *think* that I'm trafficking all the goddamn CP in the world, If its encrypted, Nothing, Even if I'm maxing relaxing all cool on my connection.

Damnit! I don't really have a choice here, the other isp here in town is even more unsecure... Well I've been running Deluge but what is Waste? I've been looking for an open source peer blocker like peer guardian 2 for windoze. I tried to install MoBlock but it won't run... any ideas?

I think Zephyr has a point, unless they can unequivocally point out that the file you are downloading is one of their files, they can shout until they're blue in the face and not have a case against you. Of course once they're onto you, you might want to lie low for a while :)

I'm happy I don't have AT&T. =] You could use Tor or PeerGuardian too to possibly protect yourself a little more. And you might want to open your wireless if you have a router because you might be able to blame someone for hijacking your router, which might happen anyway.

For the last fucking time, DON'T USE TOR, It says so on the EFF website, it says so on the Tor website. If it keeps up, the tor network is going to go down, So please, Before certain people start poisoning BT traffic, Think about it.
