| | ChoofMonster | Jan 5, 2007 1:26am | | Utorrent is more user-friendly - it has the option of downloading individual files within torrents, which Azureus doesn't seem to have. I find Azureus to be faster, but less intuitive. Since giving up on Kazaa Lite and Limewire Pro a few months ago, I have been using Azureus exclusively. |

Sponsor | konradc | Jan 5, 2007 9:48am | | I agree that uTorrent is better but since being bought out by Bram & MPAA ... I'm going back to BitComet. I used Azureus before and it gave me bit errors, but I'm probably a weird case as I'm doing P2P in a VM over Samba. |

| Duo-Maxwell | Jan 9, 2007 1:04am | Azureus has done that for a good long time lol, I use it to DL specific EPs from whole season torrents of the few shows I watch if the DVR doesn't catch them or if the record with errors...
Azureus has a big footprint but I use if because it gives me every customization option I could possibly ask for and whatever it doesn't have built in could be added with one of the plugins avaible for it. |

| | ChoofMonster | Jan 9, 2007 3:25am | | I have all the extensions, but it only seemed to work a few times - not sure which one it is. Updates, reinstallations, system-restoration and roll-backs (from Zudeo - AKA, Aureus 3) have made a mess of the registry and caused various problems. And it occasionally doesn't shut properly, which causes fragmentation and slow torrent downloads. A complete reinstallation wil fix it, but I'm waiting for some files to come through. |

| | dmingo | Jan 20, 2007 2:45am | I used Azureus in olden days and it is like Ffox of P2P clients: interminable with its endless addons, very well. But now I have UTorrent, so simple and friendly. Anyway, i think any p2p client can be suitable, it is up to us, everyone does as they like, all is in our broadband and our router open port.
Cheers... |
